Learn about acupuncture at Rotary luncheon

Join The Rotary Club of Coconut Grove on Thursday, April 26 at 12:30 pm to hear Dr. Christina Casado, an acupuncturist and certified Chinese medical herbalist, who will discuss the benefits of ancient Chinese medicine for modern ailments. She will explain the benefits of herbal medicine and nutritional therapy in a general sense and explain the different styles of acupuncture.  

Dr. Casado, A.P. is a Florida-Licensed Acupuncture Physician and Certified Chinese Medical Herbalist.  She is a student of Japanese acupuncture master Kiiko Matsumoto and travels annually to Japan and China to hone her skills and learn new techniques.

Her credentials include a B.S. in Environmental Science from Tufts University in Boston,; an M.S. in Biology from the University of Missouri at St. Louis; and an M.B.A. from Florida International University.  Christina is also certified in injection therapy for pain management and detoxification. 

For more than 20 years, Christina has been studying the medicinal actions of plants and their uses in medicine.  She has extensive experience in international botanical science and was a plant collector for the Missouri Botanical Garden. 

The Rotary Club of Coconut Grove meets every Thursday at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, 2990 South Bayshore Drive. The cost of the meeting is $25 with lunch or $10 without lunch.
