What goes on behind the scenes in Tallahassee?

Join The Rotary Club of Coconut on Thursday, April 19 at 12:30 pm at the Sailing Club to hear Dr. Ana Ciereszko, a lobbyist for Miami Dade Public Schools, share her insight into what goes on behind the scenes in Tallahassee.

Dr. Ciereszko taught Chemistry at the Kendall Campus of Miami Dade College for almost 35 years until her retirement in 2010; she served in many leadership positions throughout her career.  She was president of the Kendall Campus Faculty Senate, of a statewide group of Community College Faculty Leaders, and served for 6 years as the executive vice president of United Faculty of Miami Dade College.

Dr. Ciereszko has degrees from the University of Miami, Old Dominion University and Florida International University. She currently teaches part-time and serves as legislative director for United Faculty of Miami Dade College, spending the legislative session in Tallahassee representing the interest of college faculty and unions.

The Rotary Club of Coconut Grove meets every Thursday at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club, 2990 South Bayshore Drive.

The cost of the meeting is $25 with lunch or $10 without lunch.
